Fake Horoscopes – How to INSTANTLY Spot (And Avoid) Psychic Scams

by

Who else is thinking about seeking out astrological advice?  Are you curious what your future holds?  Maybe you have a big decision to make and aren’t sure where to turn?  Maybe you have a health issue to address and simply want a supplemental opinion, perspective or alternative point of view?

Maybe you are wondering whether “HE” is going to call……or whether you are about to get that big raise you KNOW you deserve?

The truth is, there are many, many unique reasons why people all over the world consult with astrologers and have their horoscopes read, and regardless of whether you are a believer or not, it can be a fun, inspiring, illuminating, informative  and entertaining experience for all.

That said, there IS an underbelly of psychic scams and fake astrologers practicing in the world, and this can not only make for a bad experience, it can give the whole industry a black eye to boot.

As a professional publisher in the paranormal arena who has had just about EVERY type of psychic experience and spiritual reading under the sun over the last decade, I want to share a few simple signs that you can use to STOP a fake reading in it’s tracks.  (and run the other way when you see it happening as well)

1 – Any astrologer, psychic, or medium who purports to be able to heal a disease, or cure a health related issue….ESPECIALLY at a large cost, should be avoided at all costs.  And while I do believe there is a fair amount of evidence for all sorts of alternative healing modalities of all types, I would not seek out this sort of help from someone who is NOT highly recommended by the alternative medical community.  (in other words….there is a big difference between an alternative wellness practitioner that is recommended by your regular MD, or other people you trust, versus someone you find on your own, who makes a big promise without the evidence, or documentation to back up their claims)

2 – Avoid hexes, curses and spell providers as well.  Why?  They aren’t real, in my experience….and for the most part, this is well outside of the astrological, or psychic advice space as well.  You almost NEVER ever hear of someone having a bad experience with a conventional psychic or astrologer, yet when it comes to “spell caster”, my experience has been overwhelmingly negative.

3 – Any astrologer who guarantees they can change the future, or has some sort of promise that he or she is 99% accurate.  (or any crazy high statistic)  The truth is, readings are a combination of hot and cold, energy and intuition and even with amazing readers, hit or miss.  Anyone who has all of th answers, all of the time….is someone who I wouldn’t trust myself, or recommend to MY readers like yourself, as well.

The good news?

The vast majority of astrologers and spiritual advisors are REAL people with genuine gifts and a lot of empathy, and insight to share.  Find one who resonates with YOUR energy and emotions, and like tens of thousands of my readers can attest, your life will feel a lot more clear as well!

Psychic Scams? How to Tell if a Psychic is Telling the Truth

by

Some “psychics” lie.

Some guess. Some fish for answers. And some just take your money and don’t care what happens afterwards at all.

And yet, some psychics are SO amazingly intuitive, enlightening and inspiring that a reading can have a profound effect on how you perceive your past, enjoy your present and pursue your future as well.

I know from first hand experience, as I’ve had just about every type of reading under the sun.

For example?

The kind of reading where you’ve just had something amazingly important happen in your life….and yet, 20 minutes in, the reader is still telling you about something small, trivial and totally off base.

Or, the kind of reading where the reader looks up at you expectantly after everything they utter…..looking for some slender shred of recognition or acknowledgement that they should pursue this path in the hope they hit something that fits.

Or, the kind of reading that the psychic gets BELLIGERENT when you tell them that they are off base. (Even when you say it really politely, too!) Everyone who has experience with psychics, clairvoyants or mediums over a long period of time knows this type of reader…and the more they “miss”, the angrier and more insistent they get. No fun.

And yet, once in a while you get that reading where information comes through that is so accurate, and so incredible that your jaw drops. When you hear something from a loved one who has crossed that you KNOW in your bones would be impossible for the psychic or medium go get on their own. Or when a reading just “gets” you on this incredible intuitive level, and you KNOW the advice is so fresh, unique and life changing, that you literally have an “A-HA” moment out loud.

So how do you have MORE of the kinds of readings that blow you away, and LESS of the ones you want to immediately forget?

The truth is, there is NO single, simple answer: Instead, here is a simple checklist that has served ME well over the last decade as a psychic researcher and publisher, and that still serves me incredibly well today.

Prepare properly for EVERY reading.

Write down a small list of questions you want answered, before the reading begins, and let THEM control the direction of the reading. (rather than allowing the psychic to go on a tangent or direction they’d prefer)

  1. Stick with the SAME psychics:
  2. I can’t tell you how important it is to find readers you TRUST, and stick by them…much the way you’d trust any other professional. After all, you wouldn’t keep switching doctors after every visit, would you? When you find someone you LIKE, work at cultivating a relationship that grows closer over time. I still speak to the same psychics today that I called 5 years ago….and this personal connection makes ALL my readings powerful, productive and enlightening.
  3. Know when to say NO! When a psychic is getting it wrong, speak UP. Don’t accept bad information, or offer wishy washy responses to wrong readings. Remember, you control what you create in this world, and if you want genuine guidance from the Universe, or from spirit, or from your guides, or whatever you believe in…..you have to be willing to participate.

Lastly, when your own gut tells you something is wrong with a reading, and the insight, information or direction doesn’t sit well, STOP it, end it, or simply hang up the phone. The truth is, your own intuition is the most powerful ally in the world when it comes to discerning fact from fiction…and listening to it SHOULD be your tool for transformation as well.

Psychic Readings Scams – CAUTION! Not ALL Phone Psychics are Created Equal!

Are psychic reading scams a common problem?

Do many people get ripped off when they seek out psychic advice?

And what is the best way to AVOID getting conned when seeking out a psychic for help, without having to travel miles, wait weeks or break your bank account on one of those celebrity style psychics on TV?

This question comes up a lot – and the good news is MOST psychics are not out to scam or con you.

As a matter of fact……if you DO find yourself on the wrong end of a reading, more often than not, it’s NOT because the reading was a scam, but rather…..because the psychic wasn’t very GOOD!  (a much more common problem than those who are looking to intentionally rip you off)

My best advice is this:

If you go see a psychic in your local community, get some feedback before you do.  I’ve had hundreds of readings in my time as a researchers and writer of psychic topics of all types, and some of the worst readings (and worst con artists) were those that I saw in person, and tried to manipulate me into some type of service I didn’t ask for, or need.  (spells, hexes, and that sort of silliness)

If you call a psychic service online, simply stick to the mainstream readers who offer GREAT guarantees, and promise that if you don’t like your reading, they’ll give you your money back.  Psychic Source has always been one of my favorites, and not only because their readers are great, but because if you DO get a bad reading, they’ll refund you right away…….no questions asked.

Remember – most psychics aren’t out to scam you.

Some simply aren’t all that “psychic”, even if they believe they are!  So do a little bit of due dillegence, and seek out serious readers with a track record of success when you need advice, and you’ll find your expereinces, like mine…….ARE quite enlightening and a whole lot of fun as well!
