Afterlife Mediums – fun, fact or just fraud?
I love all of the different articles around the web on psychic phenomena, and if you know me…..you already recognize I’m a BIGGER fan of stuff on mediums, and the after life moreso than just any other paranormal topic.
Why? Because it’s fun to watch the debate between “smart” and studious types who have completely opposing world views. (and beliefs about what’s possible)
Me? I believe mediums are real…..simply because I’ve SPOKEN to real mediums. I wouldn’t expect people who HAVEN’T spoken to a real medium to believe it’s possible…..simply because I wouldn’t either. The truth? You have to have your own experiences in life – borrowing the opinions of other people is rarely a smart strategy for forming your own.
(you can get a psychic reading yourself….and figure it out, or simply keep trying to “guess” what’s fact, and what’s fiction)

Skeptic Paul Kurtz says all of this medium stuff is “nincompoopery.” “But for whatever reason, it’s all the rage.” Kurtz is chairman of the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal and he tackles claims of psychics and the like in his Skeptic Inquirer magazine.Gary Schwartz thinks he has evidence that the living can talk to the dead. Schwartz, Harvard-educated and head of the University of Arizona Human Energy Systems Laboratory, claims the lab, which is a psychic testing ground, is revealing some interesting data.
Several years ago, five mediums that Schwartz refers to as the “Dream Team” were flown to Tucson and put through a battery of tests. Most psychics scored 83 percent in revealing personal details about others, when asking yes or no questions.
