Are you interested in spirit communication?

Does the idea of opening a wild, wacky and wonderful window into the world of spiritual beings sound scary……or scintillating and sensational? In my many years of experience with psychic and paranormal research, I can tell you that there are 3 very specific camps that most people fall into.

“True Blue” believers

Hard core skeptics and cynics

The CURIOUS but not convinced

Which one are you?

The truth is, you can get all of the personal proof and afterlife evidence you want, without having to believe anything I say is true, or to take the skeptics at their word, either. The afterlife IS available to be studied by anyone with a sincere interest, and who is willing to go out on a bit of a limb and be adventurous with respect to the unknown.

I want to share with you 4 things you can do to begin to experience the afterlife NOW. These all have worked wonderfully well for me, and have opened me up to an amazing array of experiences over the years that I didn’t believe possible. Remember though, just because something works for one person….doesn’t mean that it will work well for the next. That’s why it’s important to use different channels, approaches and mediums (no pun intended!) for accessing the kind of evidence AND experiences that work for you.

Ouija Boards and Spiritual Tools

EVP (voice activated digital recording of electronic voice phenomena)

Psychic Mediums

Meditation

Many of these things work really well together. For example, using a digital recording device while “working” with a ouija board can be a very cool experience, and can yield amazingly empowering results.

One one hand….the ouija board planchette is moving around seemingly on it’s own, and then later…..when you listen to the recording, EVP’s are captured very clearly that you KNOW you didn’t audibly hear while using the board.

Spooky? It can be!

But exciting? If you are genuinely interested in spirit communication……..Very!

Again, meditating before speaking to a psychic medium can be very effective for me as well, as does practicing meditation in general, on a daily basis prove to be a great spiritual tool for opening yourself up to realities that are closed off during ordinary consciousnesses.

And remember……one of the most important lessons I’ve learned from 20 years of exploration is this:

it’s often equally as difficult for your loved ones to come through on THEIR side, as it is for us, to access them….on ours.

Using time tested tools and techniques like above may be controversial to some…..but there is a reason they’ve been along for as long as they have and continue to be used.

They WORK! (And if you don’t believe me….I challenge you to see for yourself!)

I can still remember the first experience I had that convinced me of the afterlife…….very, very vividly.

I didn’t believe easily. As a matter of fact, as many of you already know, I RESISTED the idea strenuously instead.

Why?

I was a hard core skeptic who thought that all talk of psychics, mediums, past lives and paranormal powers was all a bunch of new age nonsense….and wishful thinking mumbo jumbo.

Even having a few very smart and scientific members of my immediate family in the medical profession, who reported incredible experiences related to them by patients, didn’t sway my skepticism a bit.

Needless to say, for me to believe in spirits, or even open my mind a crack….was going to take an exceptional, once in a lifetime kind of experience that left no room for doubt, or alternative explanations that appealed to my common sense.

Of course you know what I’m going to say next, right?

As hard as it was for me to admit…..I HAD that exact experience.

Here is what happened:

I spoke to a psychic medium by phone, who came highly recommended by a few friends. This was NOT a celebrity or famous reader, but rather….a “simple” psychic who worked at home, by phone…..for one of the larger phone based services.

To say I was dubious that ANY psychic, working from home and by phone, could tell me ACCURATE information about my life, or my loved ones who I had lost, would be the understatement of the century.

Although that’s exactly what happened….and THEN some!

The medium not only told me things about my own life that were obscure, specific and highly accurate, she also told me things about a loved one that I had lost that almost no one else in the world knew.

She told me things about specific conversations we had prior to a recent passing that only myself, and the relative I had lost knew about.

She told me things that I needed to check, in specific places, to resolve a family dispute related to this passing, that even I didn’t know. (but validated, to my astonishment, by checking an obscure spot in the family home where a clarifying document was left)

There were messages that were both specific and symbolic alike, and NOT the sort of general stuff I was expectncting, based on what I had seen on TV, or read about by other folks who “debunked” psychic readings.

No general statements, leading questions, fishing for answers or cold reading to be found.

Was everything accurate?

Absolutely not. About 20% of the messages the medium shared with me were either too hard to interpret, or didn’t seem to fit, although most of these misses were in the first 5 minutes, and it wasn’t until a clearer picture started to emerge that the reading got uncannily good.

Could she have guessed any of the amazing “hits” or even gotten them from my friends who recommended I call her in the first place?

No way any of this could be guessed….and even if my friends would have set me up in a dishonest way (which I don’t believe for a second) the intimate information shared in the 30 minutes we spoke went WELL beyond the kind of stuff they knew, or you would share with friends when close family passes away.

The most impressive parts of the reading contained information that not even my siblings knew….or know, even to this very day.

My best advice for you?

If you are skeptical about psychic mediums…..or that there is an afterlife, or that your loved ones MAY be closer than you think, talk to a few mediums and find out firsthand.

If you are curious but NOT convinced?

The same advice applies!

Reading articles like this one will NEVER give you the certainty that you seek. Neither will watching mediums on TV, reading books or even listening to what the skeptics say instead.

The only way to get PROOF positive is to have the actual experiences yourself.

Remember -

One bad reading doesn’t mean anything at all. I’ve had plenty of them since that fateful day. I’ve also had hundreds of incredible experiences, with amazingly talented clairvoyants who have changed what I believe is possible……forever.

Why do I say don’t OVERDO it?

Because when you have an amazing experience with “the other side”, the temptation is often to want to keep having the experience over and over again and it CAN become an obsession. (especially if you really miss the person and want to keep the connection alive)

Instead, I recommend simply having a few readings until you find an AMAZING psychic who is right for you.

He or she WILL give you the evidence and the comfort that you seek….and then step back and be happy for yourself, and your loved ones are never far……and will be there for you when you need them most.

Some “psychics” lie.

Some guess. Some fish for answers. And some just take your money and don’t care what happens afterwards at all.

And yet, some psychics are SO amazingly intuitive, enlightening and inspiring that a reading can have a profound effect on how you perceive your past, enjoy your present and pursue your future as well.

I know from first hand experience, as I’ve had just about every type of reading under the sun.

For example?

The kind of reading where you’ve just had something amazingly important happen in your life….and yet, 20 minutes in, the reader is still telling you about something small, trivial and totally off base.

Or, the kind of reading where the reader looks up at you expectantly after everything they utter…..looking for some slender shred of recognition or acknowledgement that they should pursue this path in the hope they hit something that fits.

Or, the kind of reading that the psychic gets BELLIGERENT when you tell them that they are off base. (Even when you say it really politely, too!) Everyone who has experience with psychics, clairvoyants or mediums over a long period of time knows this type of reader…and the more they “miss”, the angrier and more insistent they get. No fun.

And yet, once in a while you get that reading where information comes through that is so accurate, and so incredible that your jaw drops. When you hear something from a loved one who has crossed that you KNOW in your bones would be impossible for the psychic or medium go get on their own. Or when a reading just “gets” you on this incredible intuitive level, and you KNOW the advice is so fresh, unique and life changing, that you literally have an “A-HA” moment out loud.

So how do you have MORE of the kinds of readings that blow you away, and LESS of the ones you want to immediately forget?

The truth is, there is NO single, simple answer: Instead, here is a simple checklist that has served ME well over the last decade as a psychic researcher and publisher, and that still serves me incredibly well today.

Prepare properly for EVERY reading.

Write down a small list of questions you want answered, before the reading begins, and let THEM control the direction of the reading. (rather than allowing the psychic to go on a tangent or direction they’d prefer)

Stick with the SAME psychics:

I can’t tell you how important it is to find readers you TRUST, and stick by them…much the way you’d trust any other professional. After all, you wouldn’t keep switching doctors after every visit, would you? When you find someone you LIKE, work at cultivating a relationship that grows closer over time. I still speak to the same psychics today that I called 5 years ago….and this personal connection makes ALL my readings powerful, productive and enlightening.

Know when to say NO! When a psychic is getting it wrong, speak UP. Don’t accept bad information, or offer wishy washy responses to wrong readings. Remember, you control what you create in this world, and if you want genuine guidance from the Universe, or from spirit, or from your guides, or whatever you believe in…..you have to be willing to participate.

Lastly, when your own gut tells you something is wrong with a reading, and the insight, information or direction doesn’t sit well, STOP it, end it, or simply hang up the phone. The truth is, your own intuition is the most powerful ally in the world when it comes to discerning fact from fiction…and listening to it SHOULD be your tool for transformation as well.

Who else has had a “psychic moment” ?

Have you had an intuitive experience that was so odd that you were almost embarrassed to tell anyone what happened? I’ve had many, many weird moments of psychic serendipity in my life, but probably only 5 or 6 things SO profound that I didn’t know how to process what had happened, once I had a moment to scratch my head and reflect.

The truth is, no matter what you believe is fact, or fiction…..everyone has glimpses, flashes and dashes of deep intuitive insights, and those moments happen far more than many of us like to admit. (especially if you are super skeptical like many of MY friends are)

For example? Believe it or not, precognitive dreams are very, very common….and in 2012, there are several major scientific studies right now focusing on JUST that one area alone. Speaking of dreams, lucid dreams and spirit visitation dreams are 2 other very common psychic experiences that are very evidential, and can be some of the very BEST proof that the paranormal is in fact, very real. Years ago, for example…..I had a dream visitation from a friend I hadn’t seen in several years, where he stood at the foot of my bed and just watched me with a calm, serene look on his face. When I woke up the next morning, and arrived at work……I learned he had passed away suddenly in the middle of the night.

Very strange. Yet very true. How does one explain something like that away? When it happens to YOU, it’s very tough not to be changed forever by this type of experience.

Feelings of extraordinary knowing are very common as well…..such as knowing who is going to be on the other end of the phone BEFORE You pick it up, and it NOT being someone common, or who you hear from often.

(I’ve had this experience many times with email even, or have thought of a really, really old friend for the first time in years, often mere hours before getting a Facebook friend request, or an email that comes out of left field…..from that very person)

How does one explain that?

Or process that intelligently, without just brushing it off as chance, luck or sheer coincidence. (something all of the skeptics, debunkers and cynics are HAPPY to do for you, and laugh at the mere suggestion that psychic serendipity may be at play)

What about crazy paranormal or spiritual experiences like OBE’s (out of body experiences) or astral projection, or having an experience with a spiritual energy or even a deceased loved one? (I’ve had several of those in the last 5 years, and it WILL change what you believe, as it certainly did for me)

Feelings of deja vu?

They are pretty common as well! Past life memories (which I’m not 100% sure how I feel about, or how much credence I give most of these reports) or even incredible experiences with psychics, clairvoyants or mediums who tell you things you KNOW are 100% impossible for them to have known, and yet…….they know them anyway.

I believe you’ve got to BE a bit psychic yourself, to have a successful experience with a psychic or medium, but that is something we’ll talk about in more depth in another article

Do all psychics and mediums share the same gifts? And if they all have the same skill, is the advice I should expect from each reading going to be the same? If not….what are the differences? How can I tell a real, authentic psychic or medium from someone who is just pretending, or making it up, or is still learning on the “job”?

Let me share with you the one consistent truism I’ve encountered in 2 decades of writing, researching and exploring psychic phenomena, both personally and professionally alike.

As a self confessed paranormal junkie…….the ONE challenge, over and above all else, has always been to be able to spot a psychic scam, before I waste my time, energy, effort and income…..on a reader who is trying to pull a fast one.

And the good news is, while this may be surprising to some….there really are very few “scam” artists out there, although there are certainly a small minority who make a lot of noise and news.

The bad news?

There are lots of professional intuitive’s who aren’t really all that psychic…..and who may have good people skills, aren’t worth paying for their predictive powers, insight or illumination at all. (I tend to find that only about 1 in 10 of the professional psychics are really impressive and worth paying to see)

With that in mind, lets’ look at 3 qualities every good psychic or medium WILL have (bar none)

1 – An Area of Specialty

Good psychics specialize. It’s really true. I’ve rarely found that a really gifted intuitive was a “jack of all trades” and did many things really well. For example? A gifted medium will NOT do future predictions, or do detailed “love readings” or tell you about your past lives. (unless of course that information is coming through from your loved one “on the other side”. The key to getting a great reading is to know what you need ahead of time, and stick with psychics and mediums who do that one thing REALLY well.

2 – They are HUMBLE (And Open Minded about Themselves….AND Their Abilities)

I’ll never forget speaking to famous medium John Edward last summer in a small group session, and he told us that he was always skeptical of the information that comes through, and where it’s coming from. Losing that sense of wonder, and curiosity about HOW exactly these things work…..even when you HAVE the power, in my experience, is almost always a bad sign. As a matter of fact, after hundreds of readings, I can honestly tell you that the more over-confident a clairvoyant is, the more insistent they are that they are always right, the less confidence I have in their ability to deliver what they promise.

3 – A track record of success (and the fans and followers that go with it!)

There are very few “amazing” psychics, from your local community to the more popular online networks that are unknowns. If a reader is GOOD, they have fans, friends and followers who are anxious to spread the word. If a reader or a psychic service has been around for a while but has no “history” to check, it’s a bad sign and NOT someone I would trust paying a large fee to speak with. The good news is, there are lots of well established, well credentialed clairvoyants who ARE as good as advertised….and who are willing to offer you a performance promise to back it up.

Remember, much like any other professional services industry, there are LOTS of amazing mediums and gifted intuitives out there, and plenty of quacks and crackpots to go along with them. Learning to separate out which group is which is the KEY to having great psychic experiences, and the 3 simple traits above are a great place to start!

Are you thinking about seeking out the advice of a psychic medium?

Congratulations……if you find someone good, it CAN be the sort of experience that changes your life. (and for the better) But, be warned….there are plenty of fakes, frauds and charlatans out there who WILL take your money, and who won’t give you the sort of authentic afterlife evidence we need to move on with our lives after losing someone we love. (or will give you evidence that isn’t genuine….which in my view, is WORSE than getting a bad reading, or no reading at all)

Let’s start by taking a look at a few of the biggest takeaways I’ve learned while studying psychics, mediums, clairvoyants and new age “celebrities” over the last decade plus…..both personally, and professionally alike:

1 – Real mediums EXIST. Make no mistake about it. I don’t care what the skeptics, cynics and debunkers want you to believe, there ARE, in fact, many mediums who are incredibly gifted…and can in fact, make contact with those who are “living” on the other side. I not only know this with 100% certainty due to my own incredible personal experiences, I have seen it over and over in my own life, and through the experiences of friends, family and even the readers who share their story on our blogs, websites and online communities.

The bad news?

2 – There are ALSO plenty of fake and fraudulent psychics and mediums in the world, and many of them use very simple cold reading techniques that manipulate people in pain, into thinking that they are actually communicating with spirit. (rather than just making good guesses)

With that out of the way, let’s look at 2 techniques many mediums use to “trick” honest people into believing that they are speaking to their loved ones…..when in truth, they are doing nothing close. (and of course, how you can find LEGITIMATE mediums in your local community, or by phone, who can help you have an amazing and authentic experience as well)

Filed Under: The 2 Most Common Cold Reading Techniques

Fishing for Answers (Sometimes Sneaky……But ALWAYS Easy to Spot)

Here is the thing: There is a BIG difference between a medium who offers up a letter and runs with it….and someone who offers up a letter, and then another, and then another, when “hunting” for a name. Much like a broken clock, at some point, they are going to be RIGHT! If a medium goes from letter to letter, or worse…..to describe multiple “reasons for death”, one after the other….it’s rarely a good sign. (e.g – offers up a whole host of generic types of pain that are associated with MOST deaths – chest/head/etc)

Too Fast for Comfort

One of the most common techniques that a fake medium will use is to use very rapid fire stream of consciousness style speech that is designed to get you to nod your head – “yes”, or to offer up “tells” that they are hitting on something that fits. There isn’t enough room in this article to describe this completely……BUT, a medium who speaks very, very quickly….and says too much too fast, is a BIG “red flag” for me. (as a matter of fact, I’ll often ask them to slow down…..and say I can’t validate the message unless I’m comfortable with the messenger)

This is a well known “ruse”, and works for all sorts of grifters, hucksters and scams, and many mediums, unfortunately…fall into this camp.

The best approach to getting an authentic reading that DOES impress?

Seek out psychics and mediums who have good reputations, are well rated by your peers, who work by phone if possible, (as cold reading is more difficult) and who offer a trial period, or low cost test reading to prove that they are good for YOU. (because not every good psychic has a style that is good for ever client, customer or caller)

The key takeaway I’d love for you to remember?

There are many, many excellent mediums available to offer you amazing “afterlife” information from your loved ones……that COULD change your life forever. (And learning to spot the fakes, frauds and scammers is the first step in getting a reading you WON’T regret, and won’t ever forget!)

How common are fake or fraudulent psychics or mediums?

What are the warning signs that a psychic service is NOT as good as advertised?

Are all psychic networks the same….and if not, what qualities make ONE psychic service preferable over another?

And if I’m curious about speaking with a clairvoyant….but not 100% convinced I know what to look for, what are the sorts of signs that I should be CONFIDENT that the reading is going to be more right, than wrong? Any of these questions sound familiar? If they do….you certainly are asking the right things before you begin. After all, no one wants fake or fraudulent readers running rampant in the psychic industry, least of all, those of us who make our living trying to spread the word to the public.

Curious to know more? Let’s take a quick look at some of the red flags I look for when reviewing a new psychic or service, and writing them OFF as someone my own readers should avoid.

Red Flag: PRESSURE! (or feeling pushed, pitched or prodded to spend more money)

No legitimate psychic, or service will try to sell you on higher priced premium packages during a reading. Your time is valuable, and even if you’ve only paid for a short session, you shouldn’t be spending it deflecting pressure to lengthen your reading for more money. No honest service does this…and if it starts, your best bet is to thank them for their time….. and quickly disconnect.

Red Flag: Holding BACK information (but will share it with you for a higher price)

I hate to see this, or even hear about it happening from my own readers as well. (unfortunately though, it does) This is the sleaziest, sneakiest and smarmiest segment of the psychic industry, but it DOES exist, and I’ve had it happen to me on more than one occasion as well.

A common variation of this psychic scam?

When a “psychic or medium” tells you you need to come back in for a more elaborate cleaning, clearing or healing ritual to get cured, or healed of a certain disease, disorder or dysfunction that is holding you back in life. (this happens far more frequently in face to face encounters, than it does on the phone)

The straight scoop? When you pay for a psychic reading, you should get access to ALL information that you signed up to hear, in a professional manner…..PERIOD. Anything less than that is a total “FAIL” and should not be tolerated.

Red Flag: An insistent intuitive who knows BETTER than you (and won’t take “no” for an answer)

Nothing turns me off more than NOT being respected during a reading, and if a reader simply insists that he or she is right, even though I keep repeating that the information doesn’t fit my situation, I’m inclined to end the call, or session immediately.

Why? Because there is a big difference between someone trying to offer insight or information or help that is unknown to you…versus trying to tell you something about your life that you know, with 100% certainty, simply doesn’t apply. This is much more likely to be the sign of a BAD psychic (or outright fake) than it is that you are really overlooking information that they insist is true. (although there are exceptions to this, it’s still a good rule to follow)

A good sign a psychic is the REAL deal and SHOULD be trusted 100%?

A performance promise or pledge that protects YOU from a bad reading or a disappointing experience. As a matter of fact, if they put their money….where they’re mouth is, I’m inclined to “test” or try just about any reader on the market!

The truth is, the very BEST psychics, mediums and networks are confident, and well willing to show it to you with this sort of guarantee. If you don’t get a reading that blows you away….you don’t have to pay. In my experience, there is not better way to put a psychic to the test than that, and no faster way to weed out the ones who don’t cut it as well!

I’m going to start this with a strange confession:

I used to be a total skeptic about psychic abilities. I used to believe that everyone who thought they were psychic was simply naive, or seeking attention, or simply wasn’t smart enough to realize that coincidence, or luck, or mere chance was responsible for ALL experiences that were seemingly paranormal.

That was of course, until I had my first amazing experience with a psychic medium who totally changed my life.

And while that experience is NOT the focus of this article, just for background purposes, this is what happened:

I had a close family member pass away suddenly. Out of curiosity and wanting to PROVE to a close relative that there was NOTHING to the claims of psychics and mediums, I called a psychic service that had many “mediums online”, and that I heard were reputable. While the reading started a little bit slowly…within 5 minutes a barrage of information came through that was so startlingly specific, and completely NOT random or general, that I was blown away.

It was at that point that I began to look much more deeply at the whole psychic phenomena, and I’ve spent the last decade plus publishing information on all sorts of stuff I once thought was impossible.

Okay, so how psychic are YOU?

Here is the truth as I have come to believe it. We ALL have access to information that we aren’t consciously aware of. Our bodies are hardwired to be FAR more sensitive to information, and the “universe” than 99.9% of us believe.

In some senses are bodies and minds are like these fine tuned instruments that are able to perceive and process incredible things, and yet…..so many of us switch OFF the technology that makes it happen. (mostly because most people are so busy focusing on other things that it becomes impossible to tune your natural intuition and awareness to the frequency of the spiritual universe)

Make sense?

For example, mediation is a PROVEN way to tap into information that is stored in the universe. People who see things that have not yet happened, is an example of this phenomena. So too are people who are able to communicate with “the dead”
or spiritual energy, much like the first medium I spoke to years ago. (and the many I’ve been impressed with since, as well) They are simply quieting their minds, and through training, tapping into that part of the universe that MOST of us have blocked off forever.

How about animals? I believe they do the EXACT same thing. Much the way scientists are perplexed at how many animals were seen on video……. RUNNING away from the tsunami in Asia a few years ago before it happened, spiritualists and psychics and to those of us who believe all information is “stored” in the universe and available if you tune in to the right frequency, this makes perfect sense, right?

(the same is true with the well documented cases of pets who are well known to respond to “ghosts” or who won’t go into certain rooms, or who know danger is coming before it does, etc)

We are ALL psychic in the very same sense. It’s just a goofy, controversial word that tends to cause more confusion, than the clarity it deserves.

If you want to expand, explore and explode your OWN psychic and intuitive abilities and prove all of this to yourself?

I challenge you to meditate for 10 or 15 minutes every day.

I challenge you to speak with other professional psychics and mediums and see what they say about YOUR life that may be hard to explain if you’re skeptical like I was. And I challenge you to open your mind, and your spirit to the potential that exists within ALL of us right now……and is just waiting for you to wake up and begin the amazing adventure that life has in store for you when you do!

Are all psychics trustworthy?

What makes a psychic, medium or clairvoyant worthy of my faith or belief? And how can I differentiate between a reader who is best used purely for entertainment, versus a genuine and gifted intuitive I can really trust?

For those of us who take our psychic readings seriously, or who need genuine guidance, advice or input before making a critical life decision, the truth is, separating out fact from fiction in the psychic reading universe is pretty darn important. The good news? There are a wide variety of trustworthy psychics available online or off, and learning to distinguish between the 2 is quite easy to do.

My best advice for those just getting started on the psychic path? (or are getting your first reading and don’t know where to begin)

Stick with psychics who have a long history of service, are well rated and reviewed, offer outstanding customer service protections (i.e. – 100% money back guarantees and great rates for first time callers or clients) and quite simply LOOK legitimate to boot! (as some of the services you really should avoid LOOK so darn cheesy and unprofessional that you’ll know they aren’t trustworthy straight out of the gate)

Remember that real psychics, and the ones that you should feel comfortable trusting have fans! One of the biggest “secrets” to picking a legitimate reader is that the only real way to do readings professionally is to have a dedicated and loyal client and caller base. Much like an attorney, or a doctor or any other speciality professional……if your only clients are those who come in ONCE and never return, you are not going to be able to stay in “business” for long!

With this in mind, the genuinely good readers are those that earn the trust of their callers and clients, and often, as is true in my case, have relationships with those clients for many months, years and even, in some extreme cases, a lifetime as well! (I have a friend whose grandmother has used the same psychic for close to 40 years….and makes NO big life decision without calling her first, a true testament to trust!)

Are you curious about getting a psychic reading, but aren’t sure which TYPE of psychic to select?

Not sure if you need a medium, or a clairvoyant, or an energy healer, or a love psychic or just a good old fashioned LIFE psychic session?

The truth is, there are lots of different types of psychics to choose from, and while most people overlook this step, it IS important to make sure you pick the right type of reader for your situation, especially if you are interested in more than a light reading for entertainment purposes alone.

For example? You do NOT want to call a medium when your interest is about your career. Or, calling a love psychic to re-connect with a loved one who has passed over is also not such a great investment of your time, energy or income! Learning what types of readers to what types of readings is pretty basic, but it’s pretty important none the less.

In general, here are the broad overview of the TYPES of psychics, and the kinds of readings they provide:

Love and relationships psychics (very general, the most common, and popular type of reading there is)

Mediums and spiritual psychics (most closely associated with spirit communication, there are a whole subset of these types of readers as well – mental mediums, physical mediums, voice mediums, etc…although by FAR, the most common are mental mediums, like the ones we see on TV)

Psychic Detectives (folks who do most of their work on crime and missing people cases, most often, they are mediums, or specialize in reading the energy of objects associated with a victim, missing person or potential “perp”, often called psychometry)

Tarot Readers – (One of the most common types of psychic readings as well, believe it or not, the tarot can be learned by just about anyone…..and while many tarot readers are excellent intuitives, in my experience, this is a much more symbolic and interpretive art, rather than a natural intuitive gift like most)

Astrological and Horoscope readers (again, very common and VERY powerful, especially if you find someone who is genuinely good! I’ve had AMAZING experiences with astrological readings by phone and in person alike, and this can truly be a most memorable experience, especially if you have lots of detail about EXACTLY when you were born, and speak to someone with lots of intuitive skill to boot!)

My recommendation?

Take a few minutes to look over a psychic websites listings of services, and the specialties each reader is “known” for before calling. Never be embarrassed to hang up the phone in the event that what a reader does is NOT amenable to your needs, wants or wishes. (and simply move on to one who IS, most legitimate psychic services have a no penalty allowance for changing your mind about a specific psychic who is NOT working well for you, even if you’ve already paid)

In other words? Do at least a few minutes of due diligence before you speak to a psychic..:-) I also recommend writing down your most PRESSING questions up front, so you can get some key answers right away, rather than waiting for 10 or 15 minutes to find out the reader you are speaking to doesn’t “do” the types of readings you are looking for! And lastly…..ENJOY yourself and have fun! A great psychic reading can change your life, give you help, hope and an amazing story to share with your friends to boot!
