I also believe with 100% of my being that each of us has a unique fingerprint, destiny and personal path to PASSION. There is a map that we are here to follow, and that map leads us to exactly where it is that we will experience the most spiritual growth, with others in our soul circle.
So many people though, of course…..veer OFF of the map, and end up in unchartered territory that does NOT resemble what they’re mission, and destiny and purpose are supposed to be about at all! Yet….the universe remains constantly aware of “YOU”, where you are supposed to be, and is ALWAYS around to gently nudge you back in the right direction.
The CATCH?

Your SOULMATE is part of that purpose. I truly believe that each of us has a unique collection of special souls we are here to experience ALL of this with. And there is ONE special soul, a spiritual soulmate if you will, that you are here to love in a very special way.

NOT Everyone Can Communicate with Spirit
It’s true. It seems that people who are MOST amenable to making spirit communication a reality are those that have some openness to pre-existing belief in the authenticity of psychic abilities AND a curiosity about an afterlife. In fact, in many scientific studies, the people who do the WORST on just about all psychic tests are those that are either fundamentalist in their religious beliefs…..OR, are fundamentalist in their atheistic beliefs. Pretty interesting…..don’t you agree?
What does that tell us?
That a closed mind……is a closed mind, regardless of what they believe. And in my view, the more open minded you are, the more open your consciousness is to receive REAL information that is waiting to come through and "speak" to you.
For example……
Psychic mediums, in scientific tests done by both believers and skeptics alike, report a FAR easier time getting messages for people who are at least "curious" or "open" to the idea that there could be an afterlife. MORE importantly, people who have at least one POSITIVE contact with a psychic medium where genuine information comes through tend to be FAR more likely to have subsequent contact with spirit on their own….without needing to use a medium as an intermediary.
(in other words, a medium reading can OPEN you up, or trigger something that allows future communication to come FAR more easily)
The same seems to be true of all sorts of other experiences. For example, one of the striking similarities in people who have a traditional near death experience is they come "BACK" with psychic abilities or unusual sensitivities they didn’t have before. (this is SO common, it’s actually listed as one of the top 10 aftereffects of an NDE)
The truth?
How ALL of this works exactly is a magical mystery and no one really has all the answers. But the fun is in the adventure, and the exploration and in opening yourself up to the joy of discovery. Does everything have some psychic ability?
The truth? Absolutely. The fact is, like math, or musical ability, or even athletic skill, each of us has the innate ability to be highly intuitive, aware, and even obtain information using psychic precognition, regardless of what we believe. (and this has been demonstrated in lab settings, using ganzfield cards, psi tests and all sorts of other experiments)
But…..some people have what is called SUPER psi, or much more unusually developed psychic skill than normal
And these folks usually have much more acute psychic powers, such as:
- Recurring Deja Vu
- Powerful Precognition
- Lucid dreaming
- Out of body or astral projection experiences
- The ability to read aura’s
And others as well.
But the ONE marker that seems to suggest a very powerful psychic power, is the ability to see, sense or speak to the "dead". Many people believe this is a crazy and impossible thought……but those who were BORN with this gift, or who have learned to develop it, understand that it’s just as natural as being athletic, musical, artistic or mechanically inclined.
Some studies suggest that there is a part of the brain that regulates this sort of psychic ability, and that rather than being a hallucination, or imagination like many skeptics try to argue, instead……it’s an EXPANDED awareness, an ability to see, sense and "touch" the part of the world that is ALWAYS around us, but is hidden to those who don’t have the gift.

Okay…..but aren’t all psychic readings the same? Isn’t the "truth" the same from one reading to the next?
Yes and no! And here is the FIRST mistake or common misconception about the truth, and a reading that reveals it:
Every psychic uses their own personality, and prism to filter out what they see. And in MY experience, the psychic "gift", or level of "light" and illumination that a psychic possess, is a function of natural talent, AND a practice. So many new or unpolished psychics see only a glimmer of the truth, or only a small fraction of the energy that you emanate.
This leads to lots of inconsistent readings, with some "hits" alongside a lot of misses…and is a very common experience when getting a reading with an average or only mediocre psychic talent. The easiest way to overcome this? Be very "psychically selective". Insist on elite level, top flight intuitive’s when you get a reading. Test a psychic before you invest heavily in time, energy, effort. (or your income..:-) You’ll find the difference in readings between 2 intuitive’s can be DRAMATIC…and if you pick properly, a good reading can truly change your life and transform your future. (I know it has mine!)
The 2nd Mistake?
Avoid "free" psychic offers, or psychic chat sessions. In my experience, and I’ve written about this before, they are not only very disappointing….they can be VERY expensive lessons as well. Why? Because these style services usually look to exploit "newbies" with the lure of a free reading, when in effect…they are far closer to a used car lot’s high pressure sales tactics than an authentic, compassionate psychic service. (and I’ve had bad experiences when writing about these services JUST for reviewing them as well)
The BEST way to get an honest, affordable and genuine psychic reading is……
Just use your common sense. Set a small budget, and stick to it. Don’t look to get "something for nothing". (because you rarely will) Instead, look for real psychics, employed by reputable services, who are fairly priced, offer great rates and are customer friendly as well. After 20 years of readings, both personally and professionally….it’s the very same formula I STILL use today.
(and I’ve had more mind blowing readings in JUST the last year than many people have in a lifetime!)

Aren’t psychics spiritual by nature?
In my experience, yes…they are. Most psychics that I’ve met personally and professionally have had a pre-disposition to being spiritually sensitive and mindful of this side of human existence. I think just the natural experience of feeling empathy for other people, and practicing compassion in general is a very spiritual exercise, and one that simply hard wires your disposition to see the softer and sensitive side of human experience. (which is usually the domain of the "spirit", rather than the body)
Don’t you HAVE to be pretty spiritually oriented to be psychic in the first place?
Actually, this comes up a lot…but I say, NO….you don’t! While most psychics do tend to be spiritually minded, I think that ANYONE can be psychic. And because of this, it’s certainly possible to be gifted and simply not believe in ANYTHING at all in the matters of spirit. I’ve heard of psychics who simply think they’re brains are wired differently than the rest of us, giving them an advantage when it comes to intuition…..but that’s as far as it goes for them!
What about psychics who speak to the dead? That is a pretty special spiritual skill, right?
Agreed! I’ve met plenty of these psychics and have spoken to many more on the phone. The key distinction here is that almost 100% of psychic mediums who talk to the "other side" tend to believe in ALL things spiritual! And why wouldn’t they? If your normal experience is that of speaking to entities in other realm of existence…and you believe that we all ultimately go to a very similar place, it’s actually hard NOT to believe that spirituality plays a large role in our existence as human beings here..as well as the worlds that wait for us beyond!
My own beliefs are simple….
I believe we are ALL spiritual beings having a decidedly human experience! (The quote made famous by the brilliant philosopher and psychic Telliard De Chardin many years ago) What we see is merely a fraction…and an illusion of a wonderful world of magic, mystery and LIGHT that is hidden from most of us, most of the time. The gifted amongst us, most notably the psychically gifted, have ONE foot in this world….and one foot in THAT world at all times! Psychics and Statistics
Want to know the truth? Even the very BEST psychics are NOT going to have a hit rate of 100%. It’s actually, statistically impossible for a reader to get everything right. Want to know why? Because like many famous mediums have described in detail, a reading is often filtered through the prism of personality and perspective…and if often MORE about symbols than interpretation than very clear statements of fact.
For example…the famous TV medium John Edwards once described what he does as akin to having a conversation through a very thick, frosted window. You “see” the person on the other side….you “hear” some of what they are trying to say, but yet….it can appear (at times) very muffled, fuzzy and hard to decipher. Other mediums have made very similar analogies…with some saying it’s akin to speaking to someone at the bottom of a pool.
You get the broad strokes (no pun intended..:-) but it’s not necessarily super easy to filter exactly what the message is without some degree of interpretation.
So does that mean that they are NOT actually tapping into a source of energy, intuition or understanding that can TRANSFORM your life in major league ways?
Of course it doesn’t. The truth is, regardless of a psychics ability to discern the message.….JUST the fact that they are able to have the conversation, or “tap” into the energy itself (be it a spiritual energy….or simply your OWN intuition) is an amazing gift in of itself. The problem is….the skeptics try to focus exclusively on the mistakes, or the “misses” and try to discount the entirely of the reading (or the psychic’s entire history) based on bad information, partial hits or even messages that are wrong outright.
The key takeaway is this……
In my view – that’s just silly, and shows a complete lack of understanding of psychic abilities in the first place. No one (who is real, anyway) will EVER tell you that a psychic is 100% right. It’s the overall rate of success, and benefit, that a reader brings to the lives of their clients, friends and readings overall….by which they should be judged!
