Absolutely not true! There have been MANY famous psychics who have demonstrated authentic abilities who have learned their "gift" through hard work and practice….even AFTER middle age! As a matter of fact, in the studies done by the US government called "Operation Stargate", many of the people who became the most celebrated psychic "spies" were ordinary citizens (and solders) with NO previous psychic ability at all….and who went on to become famous for their amazing abilities cultivated entirely through training and practice.
What are the exercises proven to help facilitate psychic powers?
There are a bunch….but most notably, meditation. Concentration exercises. Learning to drown out outside "noise"….and focus almost exclusively within. Some psychic powers like remote viewing, astral travel and even out of body experiences can be learned the very same way….with simple tweaks and refinements on the meditative practice. (many people interested in these particular disciplines use special sound and music to "train" their brains to become more psychically sensitive)
Honestly? Surround yourself with other psychics. Get a psychic mentor. Call psychic services and advisors who do the work YOU want to do as a client or customer yourself. Learn and study the best psychic services and individual intuitive’s and see if it’s the sort of thing you would like to do on your own.

The fact is, in my view…asking whether or not you’re psychic is tantamount to asking if you’re musically inclined.. Or athletic. Or even good at math. The skills EXIST in all of us.
They may be latent or “sleeping”…..but the easy way to activate them is simply through practice.Psychic abilities work the very same way. Many people are born with more ADVANCED intuitive abilities, and are naturally superior at being psychically “sensitive”.

]]>In this article we are going to take a quick and insightful look at psychic powers. Do psychics read minds? Do they "see" what I’m thinking? Essentially, HOW do psychics do what they do, and should I worry about having my personal mind space "intruded" upon if I get a reading?
Years ago, I found out about a "crime" that had recently occurred in my neighborhood. It was a relatively small one….but something that had generated some buzz in the local news anyway. I was young, (only a teenager) and my friend had admitted to me one day that he had taken part in this crime. Now…I didn’t really think too much about it, but I felt a little bit uncomfortable knowing something that I knew could get someone else in trouble, AND that the local authorities were investigating.
Some believed in her, others didn’t. I happened to NOT believe, as at that age, psychic abilities were the least of my concerns..:-) Anyway, one day I was sitting in their living room, waiting for my friend to come downstairs and I noticed his mom was staring at me funny. Finally….she walked over and sat DIRECTLY in front of me, and asked if I had anything to do with this incident. I told her I didn’t. But she kept asking me questions, first about did I know who MAY have done it…and then, she mentioned this 3rd friend by name, and asked if he had confessed his involvement to me.
I ended up folding like a house of cards, as they say on crime TV and told her what my other friend had admitted he had done..:-) (hey – I was only 15!) He got in some trouble at school and didn’t talk to me for about 6 months, but all was eventually forgotten, and we’re still great friends today! But years later, when I had finished college, and began to become interested in psychic abilities, I asked my friends Mom what had happened in that living room, all those years ago.
Her answer was that she did NOT read my mind. She "read" my energy. That she could see an imprint of color around me (and aura) that she said symbolized "guilt" to her. And that as she tuned in and focused on my aura, an imprint or "memory" of the experience I had with my friend who had been involved in the "crime" had appeared to her, and she could literally see us having the conversation. (although she told me she couldn’t quite make out the conversation…she thought he was telling me about his involvement!)
She also said she could see us NOT being friends for a while, BUT staying friends as adults, and everything working out for the best overall. Interestingly, she also told me that her MAIN concern, when she saw that I was potentially "involved" by knowing who was guilty….was that her OWN son also knew the same facts.
But she was able to discern that he was NOT, by watching me so closely while I sat in her living room and fast forwarding the "scenes" of what I did after that fateful conversation with my friend walking home from school.
She is an older woman now – and doesn’t do many readings, but I still see her on occasion, and I we always share a smile over that experience. She knows I read, write, research and publish information on psychic phenomena, and while I’ve never really told her directly, I’m guessing she ALSO knows that this experience, over 20 years ago, inspired me to do it..:-)
They read your spirit. They see your energy. They feel your destiny. And they pull and piece it all together to form an amazing insight into the puzzle that is you! And once you’ve had that sort of "reading", you’ll never look at life, or skeptics, or really ANYTHING at all, quite the same again!

Honestly? Anyone can “become” psychic. Actually, it’s almost a misnomer, as we are all inherently psychic to begin with. The truth is, psychic abilities are simply an extension of natural “sensitivities” that we have innately. It’s an awareness, a sensitivity to energy, emotions and frequency that really defines TRUE “psi” in the first place.
An analogy?
It’s like asking if you have to be born a “musician” to play the piano. Musical talent, is simply something that you cultivate through practice, and by augmenting your abilities with exercises and repetition. Quite honestly, psychic powers are very similar, in that we can all LEARN to accentuate and accelerate their development through attention, awareness and practical repetition.
Does that mean that EVERYONE is equally as gifted?
Absolutely not! Some are just BORN with natural abilities that transcend those that you and I will ever achieve. Much the way that only 1 in 10,000 who plays the piano recreationally will ever play professionally…and only on in 10,000 who plays professionally, will ever become famous! It’s the same thing with psychic abilities.
You can accentuate your awareness, and get quite intuitive. But most likely, if you’re like the rest of us, you WON’T be as good as some of the famous psychic mediums, intuitives and readers who are out there showcasing their talents on TV, or on high priced readings, or in books, talk shows and other attention grabbing appearances..:-)

Practice makes perfect. Meditation can be magical! And learn to call, or visit REAL professional psychics, to get a grasp for what THEY do….as the more exposure you have to the real thing, the better your own skills can flower!

]]>#Meditate on a daily basis. It’s essential that a psychic learn to relax and focus her mind at will. The Learning to Meditate website has audio and textual instructions. The “Trust Your Own Instincts” meditation on the site is particularly helpful for psychics.
#Step 2Practice entering the psychic state. Buy a crystal ball or fill a bowl with water. Draw the shades so the room is dim. Sit on the floor cross-legged with your hands in your lap and breathe deeply.
#Step 3Gaze into the crystal ball or bowl of water. Continue to breathe deeply and ignore outside sounds. When thoughts interrupt your concentration, gently push them aside.
#Step 4Feel connected to the silence around you. Reach deeper into your mind through your heart. It’s not something you can force. You can only achieve that state by letting go.
#Step 5Record your impressions immediately after these practice sessions. Write down sounds or voices you heard. Describe what you saw in the crystal ball or water bowl, including shapes that don’t make sense now. Also note any feelings you got that seemed to come out of nowhere.
Who else wants to talk about becoming psychic? You know what? It’s interesting to me how many people totally "miss" this. Becoming psychic is NOT something you do. Why? We are ALL already psychically sensitive in one way or another, and activating our psychic abilities is simply a matter of wanting it.
Let me give you an example: It’s like learning to be "alive". Now – we’re all already "alive" obviously. But there is a state of mind, and of being that is REALLY alive, and we can work on developing and refining that sense of awareness that brings out the best in our existence. Are psychic intuitions real?
And can you really use them to make solid and sensible life ( and career) choices? When John Brockman, an executive in international sales, receives a telex from Taiwan, he knows it is not going to be expressed in the same English that is used in the United States. An interesting question that we hear a lot ( and have asked ourselves on more than one occasion) is whether or not you can go to school to study the paranormal. Can you get a DEGREE in psychic phenomena, ghost hunting, near death experiences and the like? The answer, is…unfortunately, there are VERY few schools that actually teach this stuff in a standardized way, making careers in the paranormal a bit hard to come by.
