Who else is looking to tell if a psychic is good…BEFORE you call or visit?

Are you sick of getting substandard readings from "psychics" who AREN’T all that they promised? The longer a psychic has been around, the more likely it is that they are worth the price of admission. As a matter of fact, unless the reading is FREE….I never go see a psychic who hasn’t been actively giving readings (to the public) for at least 5 years. (and that’s my minimum….I actually prefer longer!)

Fact: Even the BEST psychics are wrong some of the time. As a matter of fact, I find the best psychics are willing to take chances and go where their instincts tell them, OFTEN even if they go down the wrong path completely. Alternatively, a BAD psychic will be stubborn, silly and sullen if you correct them…and often won’t budge at all when you tell them the reading is going down the WRONG direction. (at which point, I either hang up…..or walk away..:-)

Or said differently…..if they spend a good amount of time WATCHING you……and you feel like you are being "studied", I like to leave! (which is why we often recommend phone readings in the first place) But the fact is, COLD reading techniques like body language "tells" and other subtle strategies for picking up information by observation are a SURE sign a psychic is a fake, fraud and foolish too! (I actually prefer a psychic who reads with their eyes closed…..or believe it or not, facing AWAY from me completely.)

The fact is…..the VAST majority of psychic services are NOT real.The psychics they hire may MEAN well…but they aren’t really psychic. They might advertise themselves as free…but when push comes to shove, you WILL be paying at some point of the reading. (mostly because they will “up sell” you on more expensive services early on in the reading, turning what was supposed to be free, into a bait and switch nightmare for most unwitting customers).

My #1 Tip for buying a psychic service is this…Look for FAIRLY priced psychics, intuitive, mediums and clairvoyants you can AFFORD…but are authentic. (rather than freebie sites and services that “reel” you in…and then take advantage of you later) An honest psychic who if priced properly is INFINITELY more valuable, insightful and enlightening than the alternative…and will be time you won’t EVER forget (or immediately regret) once the reading is over.

The truth about tarot cards is FAR more complex than a simple one paragraph answer can provide.  They can be magically accurate and eerily “on”……YET, still are more of an interpretive vehicle for the person who is doing the reading.  (the psychic)

Types of ReadingsThere are actually two different types of Tarot readings: question readings and open readings.Question ReadingsIn question readings, you are addressing a specific question. Tarot is not intended to answer specific yes or no questions. Most say it also shouldn’t be used to make decisions, but instead should be used as a guide to help you make the decision yourself. For this reason, the way a question is stated is very important. According to Joan Bunning, a Tarot reader and teacher, questions should: * Keep your options open: If you have the answer before the reading, then you’re not allowing the cards to guide your overall decision.

Bunning gives this example: Asking how you could encourage your mother-in-law to move out, as opposed to asking how you can get along better with her, is narrowing the scope of the true question by answering it before you even get started. * Find the best level of detail: Your question should be focused, but not overly detailed. Rather than looking at one particular aspect of a problem, find a way to look more broadly at it. For example, rather than asking how you can make your home life less chaotic, ask how you can better balance kid schedules and adult schedules.

That is a focused question. But do not go so far as to ask how you can coordinate baseball, soccer and Cub Scout schedules and still have family time — that’s too detailed. Only include the minimum level of detail needed in order to express what you want to learn from the cards.
