Cold reading is one of the most controversial "claims" in the whole psychic universe. Why? Because while there are in fact many cold readers, many GOOD (and great!) psychics can get "tarred" with the same brush.

What do I mean? Cold reading is simple, old fashioned guessing, body language reading, and other forms of manipulation that is actually pretty easy to spot if you are paying attention. An easy example to spot? Asking lots of leading questions. (i.e. – "you have an interesting accent…are you from the East Coast…..?") The truth is, a GOOD psychic will be conversational, but will NOT ask you to answer lots of difficult questions.

What should you look for when paying for a psychic?  Are there any real signs a psychic is good? 

One of the most common conundrums many of us face BEFORE hiring a psychic service is figuring out what to believe…and what to NOT believe.  (i.e. – who is shilling for who!)  The truth is…..you’ve got to go with your gut and be willing to “kiss a few frogs” if you truly want to find amazing psychics. 

My rule?  Don’t waste a ton of money on ANY service before you sample their readings to make sure they are kosher.  (or with any luck…..really, really good!)  Don’t get analysis paralysis either…if a service is bad, simply hang up the phone (or walk out if you’re there in person) re-group and get another reading when you’re ready!

I have found the key to getting a GENUINE reading is super simple…..Look for services that offer great guarantees. Look for psychics who have a track record of success….and lots of great reviews and feedback.

Look for psychics who are the “cream of the crop”…and networks that are SNOBS about who they’ll hire! (some services are very selective about who they’ll hire….and others will take anyone who “claims” to be psychic. This is VERY important when selecting a service to call, and the one thing that MOST people don’t do)

BAD News! Why Many Live Psychic Readings are So Expensive (Even When They Claim They’re FREE)

 Why are so many live psychic readings so expensive?

And why do I end up paying for readings that are supposed to be free? Is it a scam……or am I simply NOT paying attention?

  1. Any of these questions sound familiar? They probably do, if you……
  2. Have called a free psychic service, only to find yourself paying a hefty fee when it’s done
  3. Are sick and tired of being taken advantage of by ads and offers and sound to good to be true (only to find out they’re not)
  4. Are willing, able and READY to pay a fair price for a great reading that you WON’T regret (and never will forget!)
  5. Have a genuine need to talk to a psychic…and simply want to find ONE service that really DOES what it promises to do!

Here is the truth about "free" live psychic services…….

They’re rarely good…and never free! If you think about it logically, there is no way a professional service that advertises, and pays premium professional psychics can give away their services for nothing…even if you think they should..:-) The unfortunate truth about these style readings is that they use the "free" offer as a lure, or as bait to bring in customers. They usually will offer you a scripted, short reading for free…and then tell you that you need to pay to get more in depth information or insight. And of course, many people WILL, once on the phone, proceed to the higher priced services which can be dramatically overpriced and a general rip off if you ask me!

The RIGHT way to get a genuine psychic reading is pretty simple……

Look for fairly priced services which offer outstanding psychic readings. STOP trying to get "something for nothing" and recognize that if you want to talk to a real psychic, that they don’t work for free! (nor do most good ones appreciate the idea that many people think they should..:-) The truth is, you CAN get an amazing, illuminating and incredibly informative psychic reading for a very fair price and often for less than 20 or 30 dollars.

My advice is quite simple: If you aren’t quite ready to budget a few dollars for a genuine reading, simply save up and wait until you can, rather than getting in OVER your head on a psychic service that offers one thing…and then charges you for another. (and trust me…I learned this the hard way myself!)
