Am I Psychic? How to Put Your Psychic Abilities to the Test and Find out Fast!

June 14, 2009

Am I psychic……or just a little bit nuts..;-)?  That’s a question more than one of us has had at various points in time after a weird, strange or serendipitious experience made us wonder WHAT exactly was going on, right?  Well, for those of you who want to test your psychic abilities and put your intuition to the test, here is a great way to do it below!

Intuitiontester.com ( check out the full link below the jump) has got some super cool tools and running psychic “tests” to measure JUST how special your psychic skills are.  ( or not!)  And the brains behind the site has some super credentials in the field of psychic research…..so if you DON’T pass the grade, it’s time to hang up the paranormal cleats once and for all..:-)

Seriously though -for some good fun – and excellent insights into YOUR psychic abilities, check out some of the cool stuff he’s got going on below.  Enjoy!

In 1995, Zilberman published in United Kingdom the results of Intuition Training research and created the first version of IntuitionTester – software for MEASURING and ANALYSIS of human psychic power.

In April 2003, he helped us to create the IntuitonTester.com Web site for people who want to read about ESP research and to download IntuitionTester for personal use.Since that time, several hundreds of IntuitionTester copies have been downloaded, giving many people in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany and other countries the ability to measure their psychic strength.

Millitary Remote Viewing Techniques ( and a Free “Underground” Manual Too!)

June 5, 2009

Here is a pretty cool site that not only documents many of the remote viewing experiments done by the C.I.A and federal government, they also share an entire Coordinate Remote Viewing Manual for anyone who wants to learn how.  ( it AIN’T gonna be easy though….trust me, this is highly technical stuff)

But if you aren’t already familiar with the STORY of Operation Stargate, the C.I.A.’s long term experiment with remote viewing techniques, it’s well worth taking a closer look.  Why?  Well, some of the most stunning successes came out of this particular lab, and lots of the people “teaching” remote viewing techniques actually emanated from these very walls.

Check it out and you can actually grab the manual for nothing….very cool, very detailed and if you are into this sort of thing, a great way to spend a long rainy weekend for sure!   And if you aren’t familiar with him – try Googling Ingo Swann – he’s got a cool website and you’ll see his name mentioned alot – he’s the “STAR” of all these experiments - a psychic mind so highly refined that the things he was able to do defy explanation to this very day.  Read up, and enjoy – all is available at the link below the jump!

The fact that many of the more prominent “RV researchers” still are not aware of the important of CRV and that virtually anyone can be trained to retrieve data more accurately than the world’s best natural psychics, is truly unfortunate. What is being lost on much of the public, in all of the confusion, is the breakthrough discovery that was created by Ingo Swann at Stanford Research Institute. This was the real *breakthrough* from the years of research, and the work done in the military unit.

Ingo Swann, a brilliant natural psychic, focused his attention inward and looked at his own process, developing a model of how his own mind accessed information from the collective unconscious, and created a method by which anyone could learn to accurately obtain information on any person, place, thing and event in the past, present or future. The ability to remote view is not limited to a few natural psychics. It is an innate ability that all humans possess.

However, like language, it is something that must be learned, to be effective. As human beings, data and information is constantly flowing through our perceptual apparatus. We are all constantly accessing information, but unlike natural psychics, most of us can not control the flow of data or lock on to it consistently.

Our “psi muscles” are underdeveloped. When properly trained, this remote viewing structure allows any of us to lock on to the signal line, slowing down the process so that we can retrieve accurate data, more accurately and more consistently than the best natural psychics. The structure is also self correcting, and brilliantly separates the viewer’s analysis and imagination from the actual data. The CRV manual was never intended to be a “training manual” per se, nor a replacement for proper training by a qualified instructor.

Test Your Psychic Abilities on Twitter? An Amazing Experiement in Astral Travel & Remote Viewing

June 4, 2009

Hey – HERE is a first!  Test YOUR psychic abilities on Twitter, by way of an experiment being launched by one of the world’s foremost paranormal SKEPTICS……Prof Richard Wiseman!

Super interesting stuff, and it looks like they’re trying to get a whole slew of people to take advantage of a remote viewing experiment using Twitter’s built in “real time” type of functionality, and this I think will be interesting to watch!

Interested in taking part?  Have any remote viewing skills of your own?  This is most definitely a great way to prove it!  Wiseman is a well known psychical debunker, but he’s worked and tested lots of psychic phenomena and experiments, EVEN I dare say something I was remotely involved in myself ( no pun intended..;-) a bit after the fact.

Go check it out and let us know if you want to get on board with this – good stuff and a great use of technology for sure.

Check out the full story after the jump!

Prof Wiseman will travel to each target location and send a message to thousands of participants to “tweet” their thoughts about his surroundings.Twenty minutes after sending this message he will transmit another containing a website address on which participants can view photographs of the actual location and four decoys. They will then cast their votes.”I have staged several mass participation studies over the years, but this is the first to use Twitter,” said Prof Wiseman.

“The instant nature of tweets allows thousands of people to take part in real time, making it perfect for an extra-sensory perception experiment.”If the effect does exist then having so many people participate will help detect it.”Prof Wiseman is not the first scientist to investigate remote viewing.

At the height of the Cold War in the 1970s, the CIA spent $20 million (£12.5 million) conducting remote viewing experiments in a real-life case of the “X-files”.The “Stargate Project” was aimed at conducting “psychic spying” missions against the Soviet Union.”The Russians were doing the same thing, and there was evidence from laboratory studies that suggested there might be something going on,” said Prof Wiseman. “The CIA just thought it was worth a try and ran the programme for about 10 years.”Remote viewing has been linked to astral projection and telepathy, but no-one knows how it might work.

What is EMDR? A Fascinating Look at After Death Communications in Ordinary People

June 4, 2009

What is EMDR?  Well, it’s actually Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprogramming, and is a pioneering approach to induce healing through rapid eye movement techniques……which APPARENTLY, according to the doctor’s that practice it, often brings a full on “encounter” with a deceased loved one or relative.

Sounds pretty hokey, huh?

Think again!  The Craig Hogan, the author of “Your Eternal Self” and very popular and respected writer on survival research and the paranormal is one of the authors, and the other, Dr. Allan L. Bokin, a very respected clinical psychologist who “discovered” and teaches the practice.

Anyway – there are thousands of people ( and a new documentary to boot) that describes how this process faciliates communication with the dead.….and it’s super interesting stuff that has convinced LOTS of skeptical folks.

Here is a great exchange on the topic on one of our favorite blogs – including some comments by Hogan himself, which is well worth reading if you are interested in the whole life after death stuff at all…;-)

Enjoy – and let me know your thoughts in the comments section below!  Read the whole thing at the link after the jump!

Right now I’m reading one of the most interesting books I’ve encountered in quite some time — Induced After Death Communication: A New Therapy for Healing Grief and Trauma, by Allan L. Botkin and R. Craig Hogan.Botkin is a clinical psychologist who specializes in EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprogramming.

The EMDR technique involves simulating the rapid eye movement characteristic of deep sleep in order to place the patient in a trancelike state. In this state of altered consciousness, the patient seems to be able to process the memory of traumatic events with extreme speed and efficiency.

Frequently patients who have been haunted by the symptoms of post-traumatic stress for years have been cured, or at least significantly helped, by a single application of EMDR.What Botkin found, quite by accident, was that when the EMDR procedure was modified in a rather minor way, patients would experience a strong sense of connection with a deceased friend or loved one, and that this experience was remarkably effective at healing grief.

Conscious Astral Projection – Can You Will Yourself to Have an Out of Body Experience?

June 3, 2009

Can you have a conscious astral projection experience or are the only REAL ones those that happen spontaneously?  This has been a pretty hot topic for many decades, and the more science begins to understand and accept the OBE as a “real” experience ( be it a brain generated event or a truly mystical one) there are even more questions arising as a result, than the answers you would expect.

I of course believe that willful astral projection is not only possible….it’s reasonably easy with practice.  Here is a good article from WilliamJames.Com ( a site dedicated  to the great 20th century philosopher, scientists and conciousness pioneer) on the OBE, it’s roots, and possible explanations.

Good stuff and you can check out the full story at the link below the jump.

Certain shamanistic conceptions suggest that our past thoughts and our mind have never left our body, for the simple fact that they have always been outside our body and our brain. They do not need to emerge from inside, because they have never been inside.

The shamanistic initiation makes the trainee simply aware that mind and consciousness are outside and above, and they have always been so. The initiation practices reawaken a corresponding state of consciousness, that gives the living awareness of this vision. The shamanistic conceptions and the converging descriptions of out of body experiences coincide with the notion that mind and consciousness are a prius in respect of the brain and the body — in other words, that brain and body evolve out of consciousness.

Astral projection is one of the most salient features of the mystical tradition underlying most of the major religions. In fact, anthropologists have found that OBE beliefs appear in about 95 percent of the world’s cultures.

Real Psychic Readings: Identifying the Signs of a Cold Reader Super Quick

June 2, 2009

Here is a simple article we wrote earlier today about identifying psychic readers that you can trust and believe in……a much harder thing to do than many of us would like to believe.  Yes, you can believe in psychic phenomena like we do, and yes, you can still be realistic enough to know that many readers are completely and utterly full of sh*t as well..:-)  For example, based on the feedback we’ve gotten thus far, many of you reading this right now already believe in the truth of psychic abilities and phenomena, yet, find yourselves disappointed and frustrated with the experiences you have had thus far in exploring the paranormal path overall.

So what are the things you need to look out for to immediately tell if a psychic is real?

Poise. Posture. And Pulling, picking and plucking. These are my rules of "p" for quickly identifying a fake psychic and rapidly spotting cold reading techniques when I see them. ( and they’ll work equally as well for you!)

So what are examples of how these qualities manifest (no pun intended..:-) in a psychic reading ( or reader)?

Poise is just their general confidences, or the aura they emit. Sneaky? Shady? Slippery? Or sincere? In my view, these are traits that you can see and feel, and if it doesn’t’ feel right, you should probably leave. Posture is another "tell" when it comes to cold reading technique, which is how they align their body with yours. A good and real psychic should be comfortable and relaxed – a manipulator parrots YOUR body language to glean insights they can use to fill your reading. ( and we will cover this in more depth in another article)

Pulling, plucking and picking are just standard techniques of leading to you to the place the "psychic" wants you to go – asking leading questions, using multiple choice and even contradicting your OWN affirmations is a tried and true manipulation that is designed to give you more "hits" than misses.

The bottom line? Trust your OWN instincts. I have had many mind blowing experiences with psychics, and am a big believer that we’ve all got the very same gift. Allow yourself to be skeptical though before you begin, and you’ll find the rewards are far more remarkable than you ever believed.

Of course this is super simple, and the above can be elaborated on in many, many more complex ways.  But it’s a start…and if you have your own "rules" for getting a real psychic reading, share them with the group in the comments section below!

What is an OOBE? Warning! Don’t Experiment with Astral Projection Until You Know the Facts

June 1, 2009

What is an oobe, anyway? This is a pretty common question that we get, and one that you very well may have yourself if you’re reading this article right now, too! The simple truth is that while many of these concepts seem advanced, intimidating or even beyond the pale of possibility for many of us, they really aren’t….and in fact, are available to anyone willing to work at them.

Ok….but what does OOBE even stand for?

Easy! It’s an acronym for out of body experience. It’s often referred to as simply OBE, or even astral projection or astral travel instead. While lots of people try to draw different distinctions between the various types of OOBE phenomena, in my view, they are simply all one thing.

Can anyone have an oobe…..or do you need special training or skills?

Good question! The simple truth is that some people can ( and do) have them spontaneously, and others need to work on them for a lifetime to have even a minor one.

What are the factors that differentiate those of us who can…versus those who simply can’t?

No one really knows. It is said that at least 15% of the world population has had at least one, and usually spontaneously. Those who practice find that using sound technology, or brain entrainment software often helps immediately, in that it "trains the brain" to be in a state conducive to the out of body experience.

Are they dangerous? Can you get hurt in the astral planes?

I say no. Some say yes. It depends on what you believe is happening, and where you really "go" during the phenomena. I believe that astral projection and OBE’s are intrinsically safe, and the only REAL danger are those that you experience while "back" in your body…and not while surfing the wild and wooly waves of the supernatural instead!

Want to Become Psychic? Stop! Learn the Truth About Developing Psychic Powers

June 1, 2009

Here is an article we submitted earlier today to one of the psychic article directories….and we thought we’d reprint it here for those of you who want to learn how to cultivate your own creative psychic skills and energies.  It’s a little bit basic, but enjoy it anyway..:-)

Who else wants to become psychic? If you are anything like the vast majority of people reading this right now, the simple truth is that you are probably pretty stoked at the idea of developing your own psychic powers, right? It’s true…and the vast majority of us who are interested in the paranormal have a decidedly strong interest in cultivating our own psychic abilities, too.

Filed Under: So What is the Best Way to Become Psychic Anyway?

The Truth? In my view, just like any other exceptional skill, you simply need to practice!

Meditation, for example, is a proven gateway to accentuating ( and accelerating) ones intuitive abilities, and if you are willing to work at it, the BEST way to get major breakthroughs in a hurry.

Other ideas that work well? In my experience, some of the best qualities to cultivate when it comes to tapping into "paranormal" powers are those that involve compassion and empathy. Feeling emotions.

And if you really think about it, it makes total sense, right? Feeling what other people feel….or learning to walk a bit in someone elses shoes so to speak is an incredibly powerful way to actually tap into their "mind" as well, as your sort of already there when you empathize with their pain or plight.

Methods to avoid?

I don’t recommend drugs or alchemy, or some other esoteric or dangerous approaches recommended by some of the "underground" guides you can find online. The BEST way to truly cultivate creative and powerful psychic skills are really no different than any other ability – practice, discipline and a desire to make it happen is all you need!
