Many of the people who DON’T believe that astral projection is even possible ( i.e. – it’s simply your BRAIN playing tricks on you) use this style model to explain away the experience. In other words, properly stimulated…..your brain will cause the perception of being out of the body, leading you on a rich, journey of amazing experience which really…..just transpired in your own brain.
Sort of turns the whole thing from an amazing OUTER adventure…..into one big brain cramp.
Check out the video and let me know what YOU think. We’re curious…and don’t believe that simply because you can REPLICATE some of the features of the OBE in a lab, that you can use that to explain away rich and lucid first person experiences that are often life changing in their scope.

I’m a skeptic – and DON’T believe any of this stuff really happens!
Out of body experiences, psychics, life after death and all of the rest of it is ALL just fantasy……….and so is God, religion and the rest of all of that “wishful thinking” that people use to escape the reality that we’re all going to die one day, and that’s that.
Sorry – but that’s my 2 cents – and I hate to break it to you, but MOST people agree! (even though they won’t admit it)

I read your post on the Out of Body Experience and the Astral Projection. I very much respect your opinion and what you think.. but wouldn’t you like it to be true ?
Look at the world from the smallest cell to the great galaxy .. is this a mere coincidence?
Listen just for curiosity (and a challenge) I want you to read a book.. its not like any other book… its called the Quran (Koran)

My thoughts are… we’ll never really know until we die. I do not exactly believe that we just… die. Why should we? What created us? Sure, some might say “particles” and other such things. But, what created them? And sure, some might say “Well, the “big bang” created particles, and space, time, etc. But what created the big bang? Nothing? I mean… surely things like that can’t “Just Happen” when there was NOTHING. Absolutely NOTHING there before the big bang. Something had to start it.

@Gina – I understand your position and appreciate your input – BUT – totally disagree! And I don’t mix God, religion and the OBE into the same discussion……you can certainly believe that “conciousness” transcends the body, without believing in a religious deity is behind it per se. ( although many obviously believe in both) The beauty of the adventure is you CAN make up your own mind as you go – hopefully you’ll have an experience which makes you re-evaluate the above! ( I started there too…:-)
I’m strongly disagreed with people who never tried it dare to say that it is fake. IT is NOT FAKE. I have been able to etheric projection and soon moving to astral projection. I just need a bit of time to get my mental set. My deepest desire is to be able to project and most of the times it happen naturally to me but I stoped it. I force against it, because I know that I still couldn’t cope well enough with what I might encountered with astral entities.
Sometimes, my spirit just simply jump out while both conscious or sleeping. I’m knowledgeable at astral projection theories and theories lead to practice and this falls under metaphysics categories. I work with energy too.
Let me tell you, my spirit guide involved at this and they teach me lots lots of things. I even create MUCH stronger connection and ease of communication with them in astral plane.
Too bad most people here have lack of knowledge about this topics and thinks that they can’t do it or it’s not real.

Quran? Really?
The general lesson learned from people who experience OBE and NDE is that they should value life more, love their neighbor, planet, ect! In other words they appreciate life more and their fellow man!
I just did a report on the Quran (got an A on the report and in the class) at my university and the messages it sends at times are of hate, intolerance, and treating others unequaly (especially genders)!
If your really want to recommend religious reading to relate to NDE and OBE I would have to say the teachings of Jesus are the closest! Forget the diety aspect and all the organized religion non-sense and just focus on the core message that Jesus teaches, loving your neighbor, treating everyone equaly, looking out for the homeless, ect!
Like the story where Jesus defends a prostetute from being stoned by a crowd, those are the lessons of love and understanding people should get! Islam on the other hand preaches death to females in similar situations, heck, didn’t Iran just execute some young girl recently for something similar? Now compare that to how women are treated in a Christian society like America where women are free to persue any life style/ carer they want!
